We decided a few weeks ago that one of our goals as a company was to become a License Google Apps Reseller by the end of 2009. It wasn't a difficult decision to make, we have always loved Gmail and the ease and user friendliness of Google Docs made upgrading Tech-EEZ to a Premier account a no brainer.
The purchasing process was very easy and all we really needed to do get going was point Google apps to our domain. After doing that and tinkering with a few settings we had our email piped into Google Apps Mail(Gmail) and we were easily able to sync are pre-existing Outlook Mail and contacts with Google.
Having our email accessible from one place wherever we are is awesome. No Exchange Servers, no syncing various Outlook databases between our phones, laptops and desktops. It's all in the cloud making accessible, secure and secure.
Collaboration using the Calendar functionality is awesome. I am able to update my calendar from anywhere and helps me know what our team is scheduled to do in real time, which makes planning meetings and service calls a snap.
We have even begun to scratch the surface of Google Docs and Google Sites can do for our company, but I love the ability to edit presentation, invoices and contracts collaboratively over the internet. The other fantastic feature is all of our documents are on Google's servers, so I never have to worry about losing important documents because of hard drive failures.
